The HOP Protocol: Reliable Latency-Bounded End-to-End Multipath Communication

چکیده
Next-generation wireless networks are expected to enable new applications with strict latency constraints. However, existing transport layer protocols unable meet the stringent Quality of Service (QoS) requirements on throughput and maximum latency: excessive queuing due capacity-oriented congestion control inflates end-to-end well beyond interactivity deadlines. In this work, we propose a novel framework that evolves best-effort communications into reliability- latency-aware for QoS-sensitive applications. The protocol, named High-reliability latency-bounded Overlay Protocol (HOP), provides combination packet-level Forward Error Correction (FEC) multipath scheduling compensate capacity drops pre-defined QoS requirements. More specifically, sender splits data associated redundancy between paths by using stochastic forecast their future decides amount necessary application’s without clogging connections. We compare HOP’s performance state-of-the-art in ns-3 simulations both synthetic live network traces, confirm our scheme can reliably deliver high-throughput data, reducing number late blocks 2 5 times respect optimized Multipath TCP (MPTCP).

Comparative Analysis of Hop-to-Hop and End-to-End Secure Communication
End-to-End secure communication between sensor and sink is important in network communication management. In majority cases End-toEnd secure communication is largely ignored since most of us give importance to Hop-to-Hop communication. Endto-End secure communication protocol in randomly deployed wireless sensor network is based on methodology called differentiated key pre-distribution [19]. Her...
متن کاملEnd to End Communication
End-to-end communication is the problem of sending a sequence of messages from one processor , the sender, to another processor, the receiver, through an unreliable communication network. This paper surveys positive and negative results concerning deterministic protocols for end-to-end communication in asynchronous networks and presents open questions.
متن کاملModeling the Value of End-to-End Multipath Protocols
Recently, adding multipath capability in the Internet protocol suite has attracted increasing interest. By letting end hosts discover several paths to communicate, end-to-end multipath protocols aim to improve utilization rate of Internet resources. Although many proposals for end-to-end multipath communication exist, they have not reached significant deployment. Since the multipath protocols a...
متن کاملEnd-to-end esophagojejunostomy versus standard end-to-side esophagojejunostomy: which one is preferable?
Abstract Background: End-to-side esophagojejunostomy has almost always been associated with some degree of dysphagia. To overcome this complication we decided to perform an end-to-end anastomosis and compare it with end-to-side Roux-en-Y esophagojejunostomy. Methods: In this prospective study, between 1998 and 2005, 71 patients with a diagnosis of gastric adenocarcinoma underwent total gastrec...
